ULMKE Martin

Dr. Martin Ulmke has been employed as scientist at Fraunhofer FKIE (former FGAN), Department Sensor Data and Information Fusion, since 2001. He is project manager in “wide area surveillance” and involved in several industrial projects. He received his Dipl.-Phys. (M.S.) and Dr. rer. nat. (PhD) degrees in physics from the Technical University in Aachen, Germany, in 1991 and 1995, respectively. From 1995 to 1998 he was research associate in condensed matter theory at the University of California in Davis and the University of Augsburg, Germany. He has been employed as systems engineer with MTU Aero Engines, Munich from 1998 to 2001. He acted as technical programme co-chair of the 11th International Conference on Information Fusion (FUSION 2008) in Cologne, Germany. His current research interests include estimation theory, multisensor and multiple target tracking, multistatic tracking, and ground surveillance.
